XCMG XR400E Rotary Drilling Rig Remanufacturing Project Commences

Remanufacturing work on a pre‑owned XCMG XR400E rotary drilling rig has officially commenced at the overhaul plant. The unit is now under disassembly and component inspection. The project is still in progress and not yet completed.
A high‑capacity XCMG XR400E rotary drilling rig has been delivered to the overhaul plant for comprehensive remanufacturing. After years of heavy‑duty piling operations, the machine shows typical signs of service‑related wear including structural fatigue and hydraulic system degradation.
The engineering team has finalized and approved the dedicated remanufacturing technical plan. Site work kicked off today. Current activities focus on complete machine disassembly, component tagging & sorting, and preliminary inspection of critical structural parts.
Moving forward, teams will perform non‑destructive testing, component repair or replacement, reassembly, and functional commissioning in strict accordance with remanufacturing specifications. The objective is to restore overall machine performance close to original factory standards.
This is more than routine maintenance. Key assemblies covering engine, hydraulics and load‑bearing structures will be fully evaluated and refurbished. At present, the project remains in the disassembly‑inspection stage.
This project expands the plant’s capability for heavy‑tonnage rotary rig remanufacturing, delivering cost‑effective refurbished equipment solutions for global piling contractors and advancing circular economy for construction machinery.
