TechTechnical Characteristics The special hydraulic chassis for therotating drill with extensible crawler is provided with the excellent stability and is convenient to transport; the imported Cummins turbo-supercharged engine (meeting EU-I standard) is powerful, and has sufficient power reserve, which can be operated in plateau, its noise and emission meet the hational standards: the constant power and the best ouput enable the complete machine to function at its best; The load-sensing technique is used in the hydrautlic system to make it more etficient and save more energy; The patenied parallelogram articulaion mechanism can work in a large arca, the drill mast, which is designed in box structure and made of the materials with high strength, has good rigidity and anti-distortion, guaranteeing the drilling accuracy, the hinge is provided with the bearing exempt from lubrication,and can work freely, the slag can be discharged in any angle due to 360° lifting and revolving; The intellectual controlling system, CAN bus and PLC with self-intellectual property right are used, including the automatic andmanual regulation of the perpendicularity of the drill mast, automatic display of the drilling depth, automatic rotation positioning control,and intellectual fault diagnosis control; The machine adapts single row rope for main winch to figure out the wear of steel rope and extend the life-span,and high reliability; With infrared camera for observing main winch, manipulator can observe the state of steel rope at day and night in cab; Standard centralized lubricating system,allowing easier maintenance; The complete machine has pased CE cerifcation of T a V Rheinlandgroup.

A common fault troubleshooting for engine failure to start

Rotary Drilling Rig Engine Failure to Start (Fuel Pump Fault)

I. Basic Case Information

  • Product: Rotary Drilling Rig
  • Model: XCMG XR220D
  • Working Hours: 3400

II. Fault Phenomenon

The engine fails to start.

III. Fault Analysis

  1. The starting motor circuit and key switch circuit were inspected and found to be normal.
  2. The diesel oil circuit from the fuel tank to the engine was checked for blockage, along with the fuel filter element; both were normal.

IV. Troubleshooting Process

  1. The oil inlet pipe of the fuel pump was removed, and a large oil output was observed. The hard pipe on the engine common rail was removed for inspection, and a small oil output was found.
  2. The high-pressure fuel pump was disassembled and cleaned, revealing severe internal wear and impurities such as oil sludge.
  3. The worn eccentric shaft inside the pump was replaced, and internal impurities were cleaned; the engine started normally afterward.

V. Fault Cause (Conclusion)

Severe internal wear of the fuel pump resulted in failure to build up sufficient fuel pressure, which could not meet the fuel supply pressure required for normal engine start.It is recommended that the customer use higher-quality diesel, replace the filter element in a timely manner, and clean the fuel tank regularly.
