Recently, at the construction site of the South Channel Bridge of the Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Railway Bridge, nearly ten XCMG rotary drilling rigs worked together to successfully complete the construction of the first bored pile, marking that the project has officially entered the "fast lane" of construction.
This high-speed railway cross-sea bridge is currently under construction, and its length and construction standards are among the best in the world. It spans the Hangzhou Bay and is not only an important project in China, but also the world's first strong tide bay cross-sea bridge. Its construction difficulty and significance are self-evident.
The Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Railway Bridge is 2 kilometers long and connects important cities on both sides of the strait. Its construction difficulty is self-evident. As one of the three largest strong tide bays in the world, Hangzhou Bay has a "trumpet-shaped" bay shape, with a maximum tidal range of 69 meters and a maximum flow rate of up to 3 meters per second. Such natural conditions make it a very challenging task for high-speed trains to fly across Hangzhou Bay.
In order to meet this challenge, the project party, after strict consideration, finally chose the powerful XCMG Group to undertake the pile foundation operation. During the bored pile construction process, XCMG and the project staff innovatively adopted the process of combining "rotary drilling overburden hole" with "reverse circulation drilling rig hole formation". This innovative measure not only ensured the verticality of the borehole, but also successfully completed the first pile task after 240 hours of hard work, laying a solid foundation for the high-speed train to fly across Hangzhou Bay.
The newly upgraded "F" series XCMG rotary drilling rig, with its high-power engine, multi-gear drilling mode, ultra-high torque power head and large vertical plate box-type structure rotary platform, shows higher efficiency, stronger rock penetration ability, more stable working state, and more convenient whole machine disassembly and transportation characteristics. In the pile foundation construction of the Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Railway Bridge, XCMG rotary drilling rigs coped with ease, whether it was the complex environment of construction pile diameter 5-8 meters, average pile depth 131 meters, or the high efficiency requirement of 1 pile in 3 days on average, all were solved one by one. XCMG Foundation meets the needs of diverse application scenarios with excellent product quality, demonstrating the strength and style of a major country's heavy equipment. With the smooth progress of the early construction, various types of XCMG equipment are being put into the front line of the project, and the combat force is growing.
15 years ago, the opening of the Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Highway Bridge was a glorious chapter in the history of China's infrastructure. And now, 15 years later, the rise of the Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Railway Bridge has pushed this miracle to a new height. This bridge is like a soaring dragon, flying into the sea, indicating that the high-speed rail can easily cross the Hangzhou Bay in about 10 minutes, realizing the dream of transportation that is just around the corner.
